Samhitha Crop Care Clinics provide precision farming advisory to the farmers. Crops are monitored continuously by a team of qualified and experienced Agri-professionals. There are three key elements in this system viz, Farmers, Field Assistants and Advisors. Farmers who wish to improve their ease of farming and profitability by following sustainable farming practices shall register into the system. Field Assistants keep visiting the registered farms at scheduled intervals for collecting data by fallowing systematic protocols.  Smartphones with micro-lens attachments are used to capture the pests which are invisible to the naked eye.  Data is also collected from soil sensors, weather sensors and UAVs. The Advisors will analyze all the available information and prepare appropriate advice. This information will immediately be sent to farmers’ mobile. Then the Field Assistant will follow it up and feeds back into the system. These advisory cycles keep happening continuously throughout the cropping season.

Yes, presently we started our services in citrus with Samhitha ‘CITRON’ app. Other crops will be added in due course of time.

It depends on the crop. For citrus, the Field Assistants visit the farm twice a month.

The increased crop yield depends on the potential of the orchard. However, there will be 5-10% increase in the yield and 20-30% increase in the quality of the fruits. The mortality of the plants will be significantly reduced.
